Subject: JXTA Java Micro Edition 2.1.2 "Edfu" Released

Community Members,

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new JXTA Java Micro
Edition release, 2.1.2 "Edfu".

The JXTA "Edfu" release provides a number of important bug fixes and a
few minor enhancements to the JXTA Java Micro Edition. This release is

Java Micro Edition 2.x releases and the fully complies with the JXTA
protocols 2.0 as defined by the JXTA specification.

Acknowledgments
======================================================================

Special thanks to all of the community members who have contributed
ideas, reported problems, provided patches, and have helped greatly to
improve the quality, and robustness of this release.

Impacts to Developers : LOW
====================================================================
This release not longer requires persistent store for platform
configuration, to allow for the highest portability on small devices.
Therefore it is expected that applications either use device encoded
ID's, or generate and persist using device specific APIs. Otherwise a
new PeerID will be generated with every run.
