Community Members,
We are pleased to announce the availability of a new JXTA Java Micro
Edition release, 2.1.2 "Edfu".
The JXTA "Edfu" release provides a number of important bug fixes and a
few minor enhancements to the JXTA Java Micro Edition. This release is
designed to be fully backwards compatible with the APIs of previous JXTA
Java Micro Edition 2.x releases and the fully complies with the JXTA
protocols 2.0 as defined by the JXTA specification.

Special thanks to all of the community members who have contributed
ideas, reported problems, provided patches, and have helped greatly to
improve the quality, and robustness of this release.
Impacts to Developers : LOW
====================================================================
This release not longer requires persistent store for platform
configuration, to allow for the highest portability on small devices.
Therefore it is expected that applications either use device encoded
ID's, or generate and persist using device specific APIs. Otherwise a
new PeerID will be generated with every run.

1482 DEFECT P2 Correct Thread race condition in
AsyncChannelMessenger.java
1485 DEFECT P2 Fixes problem which prevented JXTA shutdown when
using JxtaSocketAddress.
29 PATCH P2 Removes reliance on a persistent store for platform
configuration.
